Abduction 51 was established in 2018, however, the inception of the brand goes back to 2011 when 2 friends (Tony – who had a desire to start a clothing brand and a passion for all things extraterrestrial, and Craig who had a keen interest in art, design and sci-fi) decided to combine their passions. That night, the brand name Abduction 51 was born in Norwich, UK.
What followed next was years of stopping and starting with launching the brand. Designs were created, business plans were formed, but raising capital to launch the brand became a blocker time and time again. Eventually, Tony identified a new business model which could allow the brand to launch with lower overheads than originally planned. By this time, Craig found the time required to launch the brand was becoming hard to come by and made the tough decision to leave the brand. Tony decided to bite the bullet and throw savings in to the new business model and successfully launched the brand in 2018.
Abduction 51 now has customers all over the world. Tony continues to run the brand and remains good friends with Craig to this day. Craig continued his passion for art and design and has since become a successful graffiti artist known as Future Prospect (check out his Instagram here).
